Cornerstone Festival, which takes place annually in Illinois, has announced that 2012's festival this July will be the final year for the legendary festival. Based on a range of factors – including changes in the market and a difficult economy – the organizers say the timing seems right. However, they say this was a hard decision, wrestled with over the years. But with this recent decision, they have the opportunity to come together one last time and bring a happy, grateful – if tearful – close to this chapter of the lives of everyone involved in Cornerstone.
They’ve got a Facebook page with the latest changes and updates of Cornerstone you can link to here:
Peter Furler released his “I’m Alive” video from footage taken during the 2012 Winter Jam Tour. It wrapped up earlier this month after hitting 47 cities and playing to nearly 535,000 people - the #1 tour in the world for the second consecutive year. “I’m Alive” is the opening track on Furler’s acclaimed solo debut album, On Fire, which also sparked the radio hits “Matter of Faith” and “Reach.”
Joining Furler’s band during the Winter Jam tour and featured on the video is fellow artist and former newsboy vocalist, Phil Joel. To see the video, click here
It’s called “Losing” and will be released next Friday, May 25th. The single is the first one from Tenth Avenue North's new album, The Struggle, which won't be released until August.
Losing was inspired by a letter sent to a radio station from a woman who was struggling with forgiveness. The single sums up the idea that we lose more than we win when we choose not to forgive someone.
